The project

After the summer break, we bring you a behind-the-scenes look at one of our top implementations of fully automatic construction monitoring. This time, our comprehensive solution was used at the construction site of the ATAL SKY+ complex under construction in the center of Katowice at AL. W. Korfantego. The project provides for the construction of as many as 6 multi-use buildings in which residential spaces, investment apartments and commercial premises will be arranged, and within the estate there will be numerous recreational zones and a playground for children. Thus, SKY+ will be one of the most attractive places to live in Katowice.

The challenge

Provide automatic monitoring of the structure allowing real-time evaluation of the performance of the entire structure. Developing a comprehensive Monitoring Design at an early stage of construction allowing the system to be implemented at the stage of building foundation implementation.

The solution

GEO-Instruments Poland is helping to ensure that this ambitious investment is carried out in a safe and fully controlled manner. On behalf of ATAL, we undertook the implementation of fully automatic structural monitoring for the two largest buildings of this development. Our solution includes monitoring of soil stresses under the buildings and stresses in the reinforced concrete columns of the structure, along with the supply and configuration of communication devices from the renowned Geosense company working with our QuickView data collection and visualization platform. The entire system will perform supervision of the structure both during its implementation and operation of the facilities. We can proudly admit that SKY+ has thus joined the group of the best "guarded" investments in Poland.
