Expansion of the marine part of the Liquefied Natural Gas Regasification Terminal in Świnoujście

load tests and vibration monitoring

The project

Expansion of the marine part of the Liquefied Natural Gas Regasification Terminal in Świnoujście - vibration monitoring and test loading of steel piles

The challenge

Provide vibration monitoring of the existing LNG terminal and nearby offshore infrastructure during steel pile driving in the water. Design of the pile driving rigs and the method of performing push and pull test loads. Execution of pile driving tests under extremely difficult conditions - on water and on the dyke.

The solution

Developing a vibration monitoring project and taking measurements during piling work on water. Thanks to continuous observation of vibration velocity, it was possible to ensure the safety of the technical infrastructure of the existing gas port and the offshore infrastructure located in the vicinity. Design and execution of an original solution to the construction of load test stands and a comprehensive programme of pipe pile load tests with a force of approx. 7.5MN.
